The label art for this cup is inspired by the manga series "GeGeGe no Kitaro," about a young boy who is the last of the Ghost Tribe and fights to maintain peace between humans and the supernatural beings called Yokai. The sake itself is pure decadence - vanilla, white chocolate, and Asian pear stand out with a round mouthfeel to match. Pair it with dessert or indulge yourself and drink it solo.

About the producer

Chiyomusubi

Chiyomusubi was founded in 1865 and is the only sake brewery in the city of Sakaiminato in Tottori. They state their philosophy as the “creation of happiness,” and the company emphasizes family and camaraderie as core values to their brand.

Sakaiminato was the hometown of Shigeru Mizuki, a revered manga artist and Japanese historian. His manga series, GeGeGe no Kitaro, brought old Japanese folklore and characters to the attention of young people in the 1960s. This series lends its name to Chiyomusubi’s line of sake cups, with each one being named for a different Mizuki character and featuring his artwork on the labels.
